Healix Bake Sale raises £198.22

So many thanks to the team at Healix Group in Esher who ran a bake sale for us and raised an amazing £198.22!

Here’s a note from Nicola Gill:

We had a great day selling cakes in our office in aid of Emma’s Bubble Trust. We loaded our trolley up with goodies for the 11am mid morning break, which went down very well with the staff, especially Adam D’s coffee cake which sold out in under an hour! We then made our rounds again at 3pm so that everyone could have an afternoon pick me up. The leftovers (and there wasn’t much left!) were left out for the weekend staff. A big thank you to all of our bakers who created some delicious goodies! A very successful bake sale!

Amanda’s Autumn Fashion Show 2017

Amanda Ladies Fashions of Ashtead every year hold a fantastic Fashion Show for the local community and we were very lucky to be the supported charity this year! The show itself was fantastic with Amanda offering selective labels and beautiful clothes for every occasion, casual to smart chic.

For over thirty years Amanda Ladies Fashions has clothed thousands of extremely satisfied customers, you will find beautiful fashions for women of every generation and for every occasion – day or evening, smart or casual. Amanda’s appeal is embodied by a mix & match of trendy and iconic pieces combining know-how, an ever-present pursuit of quality, attention to detail and customer service that is second to none.

On the night of the show we managed to raise an amazing £2780.10, so a huge thanks to everyone from the local community that attended and enjoyed the wine, food, Basil on the piano and of course the fantastic clothes.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Michael Everett for sponsoring the evening by providing all of the wine.

The Family Building Society: Nominated Charity

We recently received the below email from Graham Jelley the Premises & Facilities Manager at The Family Building Society:

You may recall we met very briefly last month in the HSBC bank in Epsom High Street, whilst we were both doing some banking.

I have nominated EmmasBubbleTrust to be one of the charities our staff Sports & Social club support this year, and I am pleased to say this was accepted earlier today at the club’s AGM.

Throughout the year we undertake a whole range of sports & social events as well as regular ad-hoc events during the working week creating an opportunity for the staff to help raise funds for our chosen charities.

I will be in touch again shortly, but in the interim if you would like to discuss the charity with me in more detail then please let me know, and I wish you and the rest of Emma’s Army good luck with your fund raising.

A big thank you goes out to Graham for suggesting us. As you can imagine we’re absolutely over the moon and can’t wait to see what events the team plan over the course of the next year!

London to Brighton 2017

We had so much fun on our London to Brighton ride for 2017, with Adam W, Paul, Stevie, Sophie, Tom, Ryan, Louise, Jo, Lenny and Adam L, cycling the distance from The Royal Marsden Hospital to Brighton, on one of the hottest nicest rides we’ve had in a number of years.

This year was a little different as we decided to run the ride a week before we usually do, as we had the Wimbledon Fair the following weekend, but we were really glad that we did. As normal we took the route from The Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, down to Brighton. Many riders decided to cycle over to the start this year, so ended up covering a lot more distance than we have in previous years.

It really was a fantastic day, with riders raising lots of money and the supporters doing a fantastic job of raising over £300 en route too! Massive thanks go out to the stag and hen parties in Brighton who made it a real giggle, especially swapping shirts with Stevie!
